Stippling technique
I will tell you a little bit about how my works are created.
When doing it in ‘Dot-By-Dot Technique’, I choose only the highest quality drawing paper, as well as Rapidograph, Artline, Emott, Staedtler or Micron pens of different sizes (0,03mm-0,5mm).
The beginning of the work is the creation of a sketch, which I draw, mostly from a photo. Once I have highlighted the most important lines with a pencil, I start working on dotting.
While dotting, I always have good music playing in the background, which I choose according to my mood and, most importantly, according to the work to be done. It helps me both to concentrate and to feel the delicate emotional nuances that I want to pass on.
In the working process, it's important to keep your pace and slightly touch the paper with the tip of your pen. When dotting a color image, you have to be very careful and patient, because even seemingly innocent three small dots of the same color in one place can significantly change the overall image. For this reason, a black and white portrait takes 4-6 hours, while a colorful one takes 12-14 hours.
When finishing the process, I work on the details using different lights.
All my original works are custom-made. When packing them, I mostly use elegant, easy to open boxes, where between tissue paper mysteriously are sleeping my dotting works. Works can be scanned, processed and printed in large format or on various everyday products.
